LEARN HOW TO DANCE TANGO IN BUENOS AIRES!!! - English and French spoken

Ben Slavin - Colorado - USA

I emailed Eliane and Christian last minute and they arranged for a private lesson with me. Their English skills, amiable personalities, and passion for Tango made the experience a joy. I consider myself rhythmically challenged but they had me dancing in no time. Now I'm excited to learn more Tango! Thank you.

I spent a few days solo in Buenos Aires after the group I travelled with flew out a few days before me. I scheduled two private lessons with Tango Piola very last minute since I read great reviews online when searching for a tango class. Cristian was very accommodating and helpful by being very response to scheduling changes and offering to take payment in USD or pesos.

It was my first time taking private dance lessons, and it was a great first-time experience. First and foremost, he was a fantastic teacher in making sure I felt comfortable and at ease (even though I kept telling him how I had two left feet). He continually gave positive feedback and helped build my confidence with the techniques he taught. His style of teaching allowed me to worry less about each step, and try to enjoy the actual dance. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get a private lesson.

Just spend a few lessons with Cristian and you will feel the Vibes of Argentinian tango in you. My husband and I took 1- week course at tango piola and were just amazed by what Cristian was able to teach us. We highly recommend this school if you are looking for the best tango experience in BA. Thank you Cristian and hopefully, see you next year!

We spend a few days in Buenos Aires. We were a group of 6- my husband and I my son and his girlfriend, and my daughter and her boyfriend. Before we got there I started doing research, and found that Tango Piola, had all we were looking for. Great instructors , convenient location, great pricing and very flexible! We got there and took several classes, and could not be happier with our results. The instructors were great, it was all private lessons, and it was a lot of fun! We can dance tango, and when we are asked. "Where did you learned" It's great to say, "Buenos Aires, of course!"

I just returned from a two week trip to wonderful Buenos Aires. While there I decided to get a few private tango lessons and ended up at Tango Piola in Palermo after some searching online. It was a great choice! Cristian is an amazing teacher and he made me dance already after the first lesson. He immediately made me feel at ease and his step-by-step approach was progressive, yet not overwhelming. Cristian is very encouraging, patient and with an exceptional talent for teaching. I had lessons for six days, most often two lessons a day, and I gradually became more confident, it was really great fun. I only wish I could have stayed longer and learned more! So if you’re ever going to BA, don’t miss the opportunity to learn some tango - and Tango Piola is the place to go. Thanks again, Cristian!

If you visit Buenos Aires and like to dance give it a try and learn the basics of Tango. And if you do so, this is the place you should chose: Christian is very patient and charming and gives you enough time to repeat the steps you just learned before moving forward to the next level. Since he can teach you the male and the female parts, it is perfect for couples! Plus: Since the subte-station is close the studio can be reached in no time!

To go to Buenos Aires without witnessing tango would be a true tragedy, but for those that are more into hands-on experiences, this is the way to go. After mulling over group lessons, my wife and I decided to go with private lessons after finding reviews for Tango Piola. We took lessons with Cristian for 2 weeks, and it was easily one of the best times we had in town!

If you spend at least one week in BA and like to dance, I recommend taking tango lessons and hitting up some of the milongas around town (there's a different one every night somewhere). Further, I'd recommend taking them with Cristian for the following reasons:

- Don't speak Spanish? No problem! He can do lessons in English and I think French, and most of the time it's more lead by example than anything. Still, it's reassuring getting an explanation in a language you understand, and helps with communication. Speaking of which...
- He's really prompt with responses and will work with your schedule. Very businesslike--you can tell that he not only enjoys his work, but also takes it seriously.
- He's good at taking things at your pace, no matter how fast or slow that may be. His lessons are tailor made for you, and he makes sure you understand something before you go on to the next thing. This can be an advantage over group lessons, where you have to go at everyone else's place, which will more than likely be slower/take longer.
- Think group lessons will be cheaper? Well, not much, at least for couples. I priced it out, and given the discounts Cristian offers for a free 5th lesson, it turns out being roughly comparable price-wise. If you have a t-card (tourist card for riding some tourist bus around town) it's even cheaper.
- He's just easy to get along with, an enjoyable person. It makes the classes fun, including those 5 minutes before or after. He gave us a few very helpful recommendations for things around town, both tango-related and not. For those without a local contact, this can be more helpful than you think.

Cristian was very charming and understanding as he led my husband and I through the basics so we could enjoy a little time tangoing in BA. The lessons were tailored to meet our needs and helped us feel much more relaxed. Would definitely recommend.

Also, the school is conveniently located. We loved going for a late breakfast at a nice, cafe nearby after our lessons.
